What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture is an integral part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that dates back more than 3,000 years. It is a gentle, safe and effective method of holistic healing that address the physical, emotional and psychospiritual levels of your health and well being.

It consists of insertion of very fine needles into the body at specific points which are effective in the treatment of a number of health conditions.

"There is sufficient evidence of acupuncture's value to expand its use into conventional medicine." Acupuncture. (1997) National Institutes of Health Consensus Statement, 15:1-34.

Clinical Acupuncture Services uses the principles of conventional Western medicine in combination with acupuncture and other elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine to treat a number of medical conditions.
